This site is maintained by Joel Kalvesmaki of Dumbarton Oaks; it includes a number of resources on the pivotal Egyptian monastic theorist Evagrius of Pontus. The periodically updated bibliography now has 578 entries, which can be searched by keyword or sorted by year of publication, publication type, and author; online links are provided when available. Additionally, there is a collection of all the ancient sources for Evagrius in English translation; and also information on his 69 known writings, which can be sorted by their number in the Clavis patrum graecorum (CPG), incipit, and title. The collection of images of Evagrius, mostly from medieval manuscripts, is also quite useful, for example in preparing slide presentations. In short, this is an exemplary “author site,” offering extensive information on all aspects of Evagrius Ponticus.
