This bibliographic database, compiled and hosted at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Center for the Study of Christianity, covers scholarship in multiple languages from the 17th-century to 2012. One can conveniently browse or search the database by author, year, era, or keyword (reflecting the generous tagging of each individual entry for content). Among other things, it demonstrates the healthy state of the field, which enjoyed well over 200 publications in 2011, yet it will also return the forgotten wisdom of many older studies to the light of scholarly inquiry. While related disciplines such as Manichaean studies (which does receive coverage) still require their own updated bibliographies, the database is already an essential tool for research in Syriac studies.
